I am not, but Purple Shoots is, and essentially I am just signposting you to donate to them, whilst offering you some 100% deserved Angel recognition.
What happens at the end of the project?
Well, by using your wings you will have given Purple Shoots wings to fly, and that is something that should result in you liking what you see in the mirror every day, and sleeping well at night. To have a permanent impact on so many lives does not have an end date, but, naturally there will likely be opportunities to support another designated charity in the future, if you have caught the giving bug!
Are you being paid for this project in any way?
I do not stand to benefit from any funds donated to Purple Shoots as a result of this project, there isn’t a cashback incentive or any pay attached my time, and I will not be claiming any expense costs, this is a 100% philanthropic project, to enable me to ‘give back’.
Will you share my details or ask me for more money outside of this project?
Absolutely not. As a one man (woman) band I am the only person who will know that you have signed up as an Angel, and fortunately I studied GDPR extensively as part of my law degree, and will fully respect your privacy. Naturally Purple Shoots will be aware of your Angel status, as your donations will be administered directly by them, and if you WANT to be featured as an Angel in the magazine, your chosen information will be shared in the public domain, but you can be anonymous if you choose to be. I will send you a newsletter every three months so that you are aware of progress and future opportunities (if you sign up to the newsletter), but you will not be directly solicited for any purpose.
How many people will my donations help?
Purple Shoots offer micro loans up to £5,000. It is likely that your donation will offer a lifeline to two or three individuals / families, but your funds could reach up to ten beneficiaries. The business model at Purple Shoots is sound and enables the possibility of functioning as a self-sufficient charity, meaning that as your funds are repaid they can be used to help tens if not hundreds of families over the years; the sky really is the limit, especially when you factor in charitable funds that would otherwise be needed and the tax benefit to society. Your impact will be significant.
Offering a humane but necessary interest means that Purple Shoots can use all donations to offer micro loans and the interest offers long term sustainability of overhead costs.
Can I stipulate recipients of my funds?
One of the wonderful things about Purple Shoots is that they support each individual on merit, meaning that they will not support a model that rejects somebody based on their unique characteristics. We would ask all donors to respect and trust this process.
